Terms & Conditions of Rental

1. Booking & Confirmation

By making a booking with G.I. Auto Rentals you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
A reservation is confirmed only when we send you a booking confirmation and you provide the required documents and payment (as applicable).
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any booking at our discretion (for example if driver eligibility criteria are not met) and will notify you as soon as possible.
All bookings are subject to availability.

The driver must be at least 25 years old.
The driver must hold a valid, full driverslicence for at least 5 years.
Additional drivers must meet the same eligibility criteria and must be authorised at the time of rental.

The rental period begins when the vehicle is picked up and ends when the vehicle is returned to the agreed location at the agreed time.
Daily, weekly, or other rates apply as specified at the time of booking.
Rates are based on the vehicle being returned by the scheduled time. Late returns may incur additional charges (per hour or day).
Fuel policy: The vehicle will be provided with fuel. You must return it with the same level of fuel. If not, a refuelling charge will apply.

Payment of the rental fee (and any extras) is required at or before pick-up unless otherwise agreed.
A security deposit (pre-authorisation or hold) will be required at pick-up. This amount will be held for the duration of the rental and released (less any applicable charges) when the vehicle is returned in accordance with the agreement.
In the event of damage, loss, traffic fines, fuel charges or violations of these terms, we reserve the right to charge the deposit accordingly (and additional amount if the deposit is insufficient).

You must inspect the vehicle at pick-up and notify us of any pre-existing damage.
You agree to use the vehicle in a lawful manner, according to the vehicle rating (passengers, load).
You must not:

- use the vehicle for any illegal purpose;
- allow any unapproved driver to operate the vehicle;
- drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- drive recklessly;
- sub-lease or allow other persons to drive without our consent.
You must return the vehicle at the agreed location, time and condition. If the vehicle is returned late, to a different location, or in a worse condition (cleanliness, damage) than at pick-up, additional charges will apply.

The vehicle is covered by comprehensive insurance. You may be liable for a deductible or excess in case of damage or theft.
You must immediately report any accident, theft, or damage to us and the relevant authorities, and follow our instructions.
You remain responsible for any damage due to your fault or violation of these terms, including repair costs, loss of use, towing, storage, and administrative costs.
You must not admit liability to any third party or sign any statement without our prior written consent.

You are responsible for fuel, tolls, fines, parking charges, and any other costs incurred during your rental period.
Traffic or parking fines, tolls or other legal notices issued after the rental period but relating to your use of the vehicle may be passed on to you, together with any administration fee.
If we incur delay or processing costs because you fail to return the vehicle in time or notify us of damage, you will be charged accordingly.

We may cancel or modify the booking (for reasons such as vehicle availability, maintenance, or force majeure). In such case we will offer an alternative or refund.
Refunds of any payments made will be processed in accordance with our procedures and may take several days.
We may terminate the rental and repossess the vehicle at any time if you breach these terms or if our insurance becomes invalid.
On termination you must return the vehicle immediately; you remain liable for all charges until it is returned.

We will not be liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience to you, your passengers, or your personal property, except as required by law.
You indemnify us against all claims, costs, liabilities and expenses arising from your use of the vehicle in breach of these terms or in any negligent or unlawful way.

We collect and use your personal data for booking, identification, and vehicle rental purposes.
By making a booking you consent to our processing and (if required) sharing of your data for those purposes (including with insurers and authorities).

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of the state of Haryana, India, and the courts in Gurugram shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Any dispute arising from or connected to the rental will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Haryana, India.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the rental. They supersede any prior arrangement or representation (except as stated in writing).
If any term is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force.
We may modify or update these Terms & Conditions from time to time; the version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply.
